How to Fix iPhone 6 Receiver No Sound Issue

A customer sent us an iPhone 6 to repair, the problem is that the receiver of iPhone 6 has no sound, when the iPhone received the calls, we can't hear any voice from receiver, it just keeps silent. We are going to fix it step by step.

                             


Step 1

Test the iPhone 6. Use another cell phone to call this iPhone, the ringtone is normal, but when we answer this phone call, there is no sound. 


Step 2

Disassemble the iPhone 6. Use phone opening tool to disassemble the iPhone 6, take out the iPhone motherboard.


Step 3

Observe the iPhone motherboard. Observe this iPhone 6 closely with our eyes, the iPhone motherboard has been repaired, the motherboard has traces of water. 


Step 4

Remove the iPhone big audio IC. Put iPhone motherboard under the Stereo Zoom Microscope, and then use tweezers to remove the iPhone big audio IC. After remove the iPhone big audio IC, we found the bottom pin was corroded.  Picture 1




Step 5

Clean the corroded place. Use the BGA remove graver to clean the corroded part.


Step 6

Solder the jump wire. Use QUICK 861DW hot air rework station to solder the jumper wire on it, and then apply some green UV oil to fix it. Picture 2




Step 7

Install the iPhone big audio IC, assemble the iPhone and then test it, now the iPhone receiver works normally.
