How to Fix iPhone 6P No Backlight Failure Problem? a customer sent an iPhone 6P to us, the fault described is that the iPhone 6 Plus backlight is not working, the iPhone LCD screen no display. We need to fix it.



After received the iPhone 6 Plus, we test it first. Press the iPhone power button to turn it on, the iPhone LCD screen has no response, but the iPhone 6P is turned on. 

Use phone opening tool to disassemble the iPhone, take out the iPhone motherboard. 

Carefully observe the iPhone motherboard, we found this iPhone motherboard has been repaired.

Put it under the Stereo Zoom Microscope to check, we found the FL2024 has been removed. Check iPhone schematic diagram through the WUXINJI Dongle, we know that the inductance FL2024 is the cathode of main light control. Now the FL2024 has been removed, so the iPhone backlight should not be normal. 

Assemble the iPhone display screen to the iPhone motherboard, and then connect iPhone motherboard to the DC power supply, the current is normal, and the iPhone displays normally, but there is no backlight. 

Use QUICK 861DW hot air rework station to short connect the FL2024, and then test the iPhone, but the one side of backlight still is black. Picture 1



Remove the shield cover of A8 CPU, we found traces of burns in L1589. Usually, if the L1589 has been burned, then the U1580 and D1589 also will be damaged.  Picture 2


Replace the L1589 U1580 and D1589, assemble the iPhone 6 Plus, and then test it, now the iPhone backlight is back to normal work, the iPhone LCD screen displays normally, everything goes well.
