Repair: iPhone 6 won't boot after dropped into water

The iPhone 6 won't boot anymore after dropped into water, what to do?  There are many cases that iPhone won't turn on after got damaged from liquid. We need to test it, and then find the best solution for it.

Dissemble iPhone 6 by phone opening tools, connect iPhone motherboard to DC power supply, and then press iPhone power button, the current stuck on 750MA.

Measure the each circuit output for iPhone power IC with UNI-T UT81C Scope Digital Multimeters, we don't see any short circuits.

Actually, for this problem, the best way is rosin method.

Apply some rosin on iPhone motherboard, and then use PPD 861D Plus hot air rework station to smoke the iPhone motherboard until it turns white. Supply power and boot it, after a while, do the same thing for several times. Then you will find the short circuit component is hot and discolored.

Open WUXINJI software to check iPhone schematic diagram, we can know that it is C0616, and C0616 corresponds to a 1.8V, which supply power to the iPhone NAND flash. So, short-circuit 1.8V causes iPhone 6 won't boot.

Remove capacitor C0616 with Precision Titanium Alloy Tweezers, supply power and boot it, now the current shows normal, and everything goes well.

Some capacitors are not in power, its resistance is normal, but in the case of power-adding, it's going to leak.
