The WIFI of iPhone 6 Plus can be turned on, but its signal is weak. If you stay away from the router, WiFi is completely out of signal. After we test it, it only can search 2 wifi addresses, and the signal is weak. However, there are ten or more wifi address can be found on the phone with no fault. So, we can judge the fault is weak WIFI signal.



Step 1. Disassemble iPhone with phone opening tools and take out the motherboard, we can found that the iPhone WIFI chip has been replaced. In order to test whether the chip is workable, we solder the jump wire first to replace the peripheral antenna circuit of the wifi chip. The method of welding jump wire is that using a 10 cm enameled wire acting as antenna starting from C5213_RF near WiFi.



Step 2. Power on iPhone to test when finish the soldering jump wire with soldering station, many WiFi hotspots can be found now, and at the same time, the signal has been normal. Why the wifi signal back to normal after we weld jump wire? This is mainly because the WiFi signal filter FL_CELL_WIF_RF has been damaged, and the removal of filter has no effect on the iPhone operation. In the case of repair, we often solder the jump wire directly ignoring the filter.

Step 3. Apply some green UV oil on the jump wire and fix it, then assemble the iPhone. Power on iPhone and test it, now the WIFI signal is normal, the iPhone 6 Plus has been repaired.
